Visa Best Practices Center |

Visa’s Best Practices web site, originally designed for one regional center, needed to be updated and made relevant to Visa’s global employee base.
The Challenge:
Visa’s global employee base use the Best Practices Center web site to leverage lessons learned in the development of effective regional programs. The project owners had identified content organization and navigation as particular concerns, but budget constraints prohibited user research and testing.
The Solution:
CTD used site traffic and feedback from the project owners and subject matter experts to explore better approaches to content organization. One major discovery was the lack of a common language and product orientation. The original site had been structured according to business units specific to only one regional center. In response, CTD proposed a content approach based on several points of view. Working together, Visa and CTD identified a final list of six organizational categories, including business unit, payment type, funding source, industry, stakeholder, and region. Programs could be associated with just one, or several, or all categories. All six content categories and sub-groupings within were presented right on the home page, allowing users to navigate directly to relevant content.
