The Challenge:
User surveys revealed an underutilization of the Kids' E-Q section of Monterey Bay Aquarium's extensive web site. CTD was asked to propose an enhanced look & feel for this section which caters to children in grades K-12. The main goals were to create a more interesting, age-appropriate look that would stimulate interaction and to reorganize content for maximum accessibility.
CTD proposed a dynamic, visually rich look using flash animation and animated rollovers. An information map was created to present highest priority content first while enticing users to explore everything on the page.
